I bought Garmin GPS 60CSx to replace my GPSMap 60CS, and use it primarily for bicycling, cross-country skiing and hiking. The 60CSx is a significant improvement over the 60CS in that it keeps a better lock on satelites in heavy cover, better battery life, and faster software. The expandable memory also allows the unit to easily store many more POI's and maps. Also, my 60CS had a problem with the batteries losing contact, which I subsequently had repaired by Garmin. So far, my 60CSx has not had that problem. I am very satisfied with this unit.

You can use the 60CSx's memory card slot with preprogrammed microSD cards from Garmin (sold separately) that provide topographic maps, city streets, and nautical charts. In fact, the unit is compatible with most Garmin MapSource products including BlueChart, City Navigator, U.S. Topo 24K, and U.S. Topo and Recreational Lakes with Fishing Hot Spots. excellent product - free maps available
I'm very pleased with the product. It works as advertised. I would encourage anyone looking for maps to load onto this to do a search for "gpsfiledepot". There are many excellent, free maps available as well as instructions for making your own custom maps. Maps are both Mac and Windows compatible.

Garmin GPSMap 60CSx ROCKS!
Wow! I previously had a Garmin GPSMap 60c which I thought was great. This one is even better. I have not yet lost a signal. The batteries last longer. The accumulated altitude is a great feature. Just an over all improvement over the previous model. Not a single post purchase regret.I use this GPS about twice a week and have yet to discover anything I don't like about it.

Great hand-held GPS
I have been using Garmin GPS units in my work for quite a few years; I find them easy and reliable to use. Recently I was working in tight canyon country with my old model and found it unable to locate satellites, while a colleague with the GPSMap 60CSX was having no problem - so I upgraded. I love the new unit. This model seems durable, has good battery life, has a nice large readable screen, and provides very accurate locations and tracks.

GPS navigator
Simply a marvel in the world of GPS navigation. This little baby is one of the few handheld navigators I have seen that guides you turn-by-turn to your destination. The anntena on this thing is so beefy that the signal literally never cuts out. It is accurate in the most dense of vegitation; it would probably help you navigate your way out of the bottom of a war bunker if you needed it. Tons of great features, compatible with most garmin software, and is all around the most bangin' of GPS devices out there.
