Learned all of the basic pages in an hour or so. Garmin GPS 60CSx is very intuitive and you don't really need the manual. The features and accuracy are the best. Map functions are cool with ability to drag an arrow to a desired spot and create a go-to point. All display fields are changeable and the accuracy in the field is outstanding. Compass switches from GPS-based to magnetic after x seconds if you stop moving. Recommended to a friend and he bought one as well.

Great GPS at this price point
The GPS 60CSx is a great choice for a handheld unit. Pretty decent battery life, screen is bright even in sun, and has enough customizable features and settings to work for just about anyone. I will definitely tell my friends to get this one if they are looking for a GPS.

Very Satisfied
Been using the Garmin 60CSx for about a month. I purchased the unit mainly for road biking and hiking. I am very pleased with the performance, no dead zones and appears to be very accurate. I have done a little geocaching and the unit was dead on. Altitude is off 10-15 feet from one hike to the next at the same spot, but I think that is the margin of accuracy in the specs. I have the North American NT Map Totally loaded on a 2GB card. I am also using in my truck for highway navigation and it works good for that as well even with the small screen. For my uses, I think this is the best unit available. My only complaint is that the Garmin Maps are Too Expensive, and I can't load my National Geographic TOPO maps on the unit.

GPS 60 CSx excellent engineering
This is a terrific GPS with large, easy to use buttons and an intuitive design. The screen is big and bright and the rubberized grips make it easy to hold. The signal reception is so strong it is not unusual to pick up 12 satellites!
I previously owned the Garmin eTrex for about 2 weeks and took it back. Small screen, stupid controls and poor reception. There is a huge price difference between the 60CSx and the top of the line eTrex but you get what you pay for.

Nice tool works really nice, only that you can't upload maps with an Mac is a bit of a pity. Otherwise no complains.
